Who I am

YipLabs is a Belgian sole proprietorship operated by Hunter Yip. By using this site, hiring me, or buying a productized service, you agree to these terms.

Services I offer

• Custom builds — quoted per project. MVPs, SaaS, mobile apps, AI products. Scope is locked at kickoff.
• Productized services — fixed-scope, fixed-price offerings listed at /products/[slug]. Buy-now flow with no scoping call required.
• Retainers — monthly engagements quoted on request.

Pricing & payment

• Custom projects ≥ €5K: 50% on signing, 50% on delivery.
• Custom projects < €5K: typically billed through Fiverr (their buyer protection applies) or 100% upfront via Stripe / bank transfer.
• Productized services: 100% upfront via Stripe.
• Currency: EUR by default. USD/GBP available on request. VAT 21% added where applicable.
• Late payment: 1.5%/month interest on amounts outstanding more than 14 days. Suspension of work after 30 days unpaid.

Refund policy

For productized services (e.g. AI Agent in 5 days):

• Full refund within 7 days of purchase if development hasn't started — kickoff call hasn't happened, no code written.
• Pro-rated refund after kickoff, based on work completed. I'll show the work product and the math.
• No refund after delivery. Bug-fix support for 30 days post-delivery is included and not subject to refund.

For custom projects:

• The 50% deposit is non-refundable once design has started (typically day 2).
• Cancellation mid-build incurs a kill fee of 50% of contract value plus work-to-date.
• You receive all work product to date upon cancellation, with a non-exclusive license. Full IP transfer requires final payment.

Intellectual property

• On final payment, you own all IP rights to the deliverables I produce specifically for you.
• I retain ownership of pre-existing code, libraries, and boilerplate I bring to the project, but you receive a perpetual non-exclusive license for use within your deliverables.
• I may reference the project in my portfolio (showing the client name, logo, and outcome) unless you opt out in writing at kickoff.
• Open-source dependencies remain under their respective licenses.

Confidentiality & NDAs

Mutual NDAs are standard. I'll sign yours or use a simple mutual template — your choice. NDAs do not override the portfolio reference clause unless explicitly agreed.

Liability cap

My total liability for any claim arising from work performed is capped at the total amount you paid me for that engagement. This cap doesn't apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violations I can't legally cap under Belgian law.

Warranty disclaimer

I deliver work to the best of my professional ability and represent that it matches the agreed scope. Beyond that, the work is provided “as is” — no warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or specific commercial outcome.

For productized services, I represent that the deliverable will do what the product page describes. If it doesn't, the refund policy above applies.

Termination

Either side can terminate with 7 days written notice for a cause that's not been resolved within 14 days of being raised. Termination triggers the pro-rated refund or kill-fee clauses above as applicable. You receive all work product to the termination date.

Force majeure

Neither side is in breach for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control — illness, family emergency, infrastructure outages, natural disasters. I'll notify within 24 hours with a path forward; you may pause or cancel without penalty if the delay exceeds 2 weeks.

Jurisdiction & governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes that can't be resolved by good-faith discussion go to the competent Belgian courts. EU consumers retain the right to their local courts under EU consumer protection rules.

Changes to these terms

I update these terms when something material changes. Active engagements remain bound by the terms in effect when they started; new engagements use the current version.
